Leading Australian trailer solutions manufacturer and supplier, Freighter Group – previously MaxiTRANS – is particularly excited for the 2025 Brisbane Truck Show, as it proudly showcases its future vision under the new Freighter Group name.
In early October the company announced a comprehensive rebrand of its business, including a change in name to Freighter Group. Executive Chairman Greg L’Estrange says the rebrand marks a significant milestone in the company’s history.
Since the business was purchased by a group of local private investors in September 2021, the focus has remained on setting the business up for long-term sustainability with the aim of creating a new era for the future of the company and the trailer manufacturing industry in Australia.
“The journey started with a $50 million investment into our Ballarat site. This investment has seen the introduction of a range of state-of-the-art equipment and an expansion of the overall footprint of the facility, transforming it into a modern manufacturing environment,” he says.
“The completion of the upgrade puts the business in a position to be able to continue to evolve with the changing needs of our customers long into the future.”
L’Estrange says changing the business’s name to Freighter Group better reflects “who we are as a business and our vision for the future”.

In early October the company announced a comprehensive rebrand of its business, including a change in name to Freighter Group.
“We are very excited to once again be a part of this great industry event to showcase the new Freighter Group and our full end-to-end offer available to our customers,” he says.
“Our display this year sits under the common theme of ‘Freight it for life’, which is a demonstration of our total commitment to supporting customers for the life of our product.”
Freighter Group also recently announced that it is now offering spare parts for all its OEM products manufactured under the Freighter Group name.
“Our agreement with MaxiPARTS to supply parts has now ended, and we are thrilled that customers are able to contact their local Freighter Group dealer to look after their spare part needs,” L’Estrange says.
“Our expansion into spare parts, combined with our national aftermarket service support offering, is a further demonstration of our total commitment to supporting the needs of our customers and being ready to assist when needed.”
Along with its aftermarket support representation, the company will be showcasing two trailer models on its stand allowing visitors to explore first-hand the locally manufactured high-quality products available from Freighter Group, plus the opportunity to discuss the full range available to suit their particular freight application.

Also on display will be a Schmitz Cargobull fridge plant, now available to the Australian market and supported through Freighter Group.
Featured heavily will be demonstrations of telematics technology delivered through TrailerConnect which is available now across the Freighter Group trailer range.
TrailerConnect delivers customers real-time EBS and fridge data to help boost the efficiency of their operation. The move into this technology showcases our move into a modern, digital service offer for customers, assisting in all aspects of fleet management.
“Our stand will be staffed with specialists from Product, Parts and Service, as well as a return of a popular inclusion to the Freighter Group display; specialists in Performance-Based Standards (PBS) during the show,” L’Estrange adds.
“We’re inviting all visitors to come and talk to us about their particular freight challenges, including PBS. Whether you are new to PBS, or have some specific questions in mind, our specialists are here to help with your freight task and recommend the best possible solution.
“We are very excited for this year’s Brisbane Truck Show. As we have seen with previous shows, the event is invaluable as it offers the opportunity to meet as many customers as possible in one location. It also allows our industry to come together and celebrate, highlighting the importance of our local industry and the vital role we all play.”
