Power Of Penske On Display In Brisbane

Penske Australia & New Zealand returned to the Brisbane Truck Show, showcasing the award-winning Western Star X-Series, the highly innovative MAN truck generation, and the cutting-edge Porsche 963 show car, an innovative Le Mans Daytona hybrid racer designed to dominate endurance racing.

“From commercial vehicles and power systems to motorsports – competing, improving and winning is in Penske’s DNA,” says Hamish Christie-Johnston, managing director of Penske Australia & New Zealand.

“We constantly strive to improve on the racetrack and in business. And just like Penske’s commitment to racing, our commitment to our customers is driven by excellence. We go the extra mile to overcome challenges and deliver outstanding results. That’s the power of Penske.”

Winner of the 2024 Truck of the Year Australasia (ToYA), the Western Star X-Series on show features superior comfort, an advanced safety package, a powerful integrated driveline and legendary Star durability.

“In addition to displaying the highly versatile 47X, which has a short, sloped bonnet that yields payload flexibility, we have the Australian and New Zealand-exclusive 48X on show,” says Craig Lee, executive general manager of on-highway at Penske Australia & New Zealand.

Boasting great efficiency and economy features, optimised uptime, excellent driver fit and making for a strong business partner, MAN’s truck generation redefines trucking.

“We are also proud to bring the all-new Individual Lion S to the Brisbane Truck Show, the first time it will be seen in Australia,” Lee says.

“Combining breathtaking design with supreme driving comfort, the Lion S has a sporty racing finish, a dynamic carbon trim with red highlights, and an array of stylish elements.”

Highly agile, the MAN TGS 26.540 featured on the stand with the generous GM cab and the flexible TN cab.

In conjunction with Viva Energy, all six Western Star and MAN trucks on Penske’s stand were powered by renewable diesel, demonstrating the future compatibility of the product portfolios.
