
Besides checking out the latest trucking gear on show, 2025 Brisbane Truck Show attendees will also have the rare opportunity to meet an impressive list of sporting stars from the AFL, NRL, NBL and Supercars Championship over the course of the four-day event – including the chance to shoot some hoops with Australian Boomers and Brisbane Bullets captain Mitch Norton.
Norton, who represented the Boomers in the recent FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers, will make an appearance at the all-new The Depot careers and entertainment hub taking place directly across the road from the main entrance to the Brisbane Truck Show, on the lawns of the TAFE Queensland South Bank campus.
From 10:30-11:30am on Thursday and Friday the experienced guard will join the action to chat with attendees and shoot some hoops at the Scania Dunk Trunk – a Scania P360 6×2 curtain-sider featuring a full-size ring and backboard that magically emerge from the back of the truck, over the top of an awesome Dream Courts set-up.

For NRL fans, several stars of the competition’s newest team, the Dolphins, will make an appearance at the club’s stand at The Depot from 11:30am-12:30pm on Saturday, May 17. Drop by to say hello, grab a photo and autograph, or challenge them to the Pass The Ball competition for a chance to win a random prize.
Over at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, two Brisbane Lions players will make an appearance on the Hyundai stand (112, Hall 1) from 3:00-4:00pm on Thursday, May 15. Get along to grab an autograph and a photo with the 2024 AFL reigning champions who’ll be brandishing the 2024 Premiership Cup!
If race car drivers are more your thing, head to the Isuzu Trucks stand (52, Hall 2) to grab a selfie with V8 Supercars stars Jimmy Golding and Richie Stanway from PremiAir Racing.

The Supercars stars will take part in Q&A sessions on Friday from 11:00am-1:00pm plus appear alongside a team car and race simulator offering showgoers the opportunity to set a time against Golding and Stanaway.
You can meet the PremiAir Racing drivers on Thursday 9:30am-11:30am, Friday 11:00am to 1:00pm, Saturday 11:00am-1:00pm and Sunday 12:00pm-2:00pm.
What’s more, over at the NTI and TruckAssist stands (251-252, Plaza Level) attendees will have the chance to meet Ryan Wood and team mate Chaz Mostert from the Walkinshaw Andretti United race team on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.
And don’t forget the Premier Boxing Series being staged the South Bank Piazza on Friday and Saturday nights showcasing some of Australia’s best professional and amateur boxers – headlined by Saturday night’s Australian Cruiserweight Title bout between Lachlan Duncombe and Ben Kelleher.
